LT1 vs. LT4 Zero to 60

Mind you, this was just after the install of 1.6 Roller Rockers and LT4 valve springs. Unlike the video, above, my little LT1 pulled him all the way from the get-go and he was squarely in my rearview mirror when we let off.
BTW, I'm not advocating street racing. This was a highly unusual event with only the two of us on a major 6-lane highway. However, I'd be lying if I said I had no interest in testing out the new valve hardware and, after all, he started it!

I have a very good data point to help answer your question. (stock 95LT1 A4 w/3.07)
This was was as "normal" as you can get. Track wasn't really sticky, car is stock (except K&N panel), DA was 1900ft, took off as hard as I could w/o spinning (had to roll throttle to the floor from off idle or it would spin)

All the data is out there guys (except for Dr Dyno's. and Daniel Ricany's), and has been for a decade or more.
'04 GTO (LS1):Even wearing its standard M+S tires, our test car scorched from 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds and tripped the quarter-mile lights in 13.62 seconds at 104.78 mph
Read more: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...#ixzz3I231APBz
'05 GTO (LS2): 13.3 @ 107 with C&D at the wheel
C&D results chart
And, the LT1 Corvette results from Motorweek; 13.8/104
MW Road test
Those must have been some pretty magical rocker arms...or the "testing" wasn't very controlled.

Just for the record... I never suggested an A4 LT1 could beat an LT4 (or, for that matter, an LS1/LS2 GTO) in a quarter mile race. Here's my original question:
"Can an A4 LT1 with a 3.07 rear axle ratio beat an M6 LT4 to 60 MPH?"
By the way... at sea level your numbers would have been:
13.25 ET / 105.58 MPH

Right. That question was answered way back in post #2,3,4,9... and the answer was "no". The LT4 will win.
But then later, you started talking about your LT1 with rockers beating a GTO in some impromptu street race. Not exactly a regimented test.

I don't understand. You beat him 13.54 to his 13.59................but in the accompanying post you said you had him by 2 car lengths? That doesn't seem possible because normally one tenth is around one car length at those terminal speeds, is it not?................. & you didn't even beat him by that much. Am I just wrong or did I miss something?

No, Tom. Facts are facts, no argument there. It's your righteous irrelevance that I find boring. Your post, above has no relevance to the post before it. It was just the same old Tom... taking a shot whether it's relevant or not.

"Boring". What people say when they don't know what else to say.
My "post above" certainly was relevant, and I can explain how, if you wish, but for now, I'll avoid doing so as I wouldn't want to...bore anyone. Sorry my facts are so boringly presented.

Sounds like one car left the light kind of late. In drag racing, you time starts when your car leaves independently of the other side. Two pretty equal cars with a reaction time difference to decide the outcome. You could sit there for 5 seconds after the first car left and still run a 13.5x second run.
