Is the sensor really bad? On mine, it was throwing codes but the sensor was fine. The mounting area had corroded - cleaning the mounting area solved the problem.

I Agree with ghlkal,
try removing from the frame, and cleaning the mounting area first,
then reset the code to see if it fixed the problem.
I have one sensor, that I had planned on keeping.
I'll ask the guy that found a set for me to see if he has another

I have a manual for the corvette, but it does not show the actual location of the sensor, so can you give me some insight as to where it is?

What manual do you have? You asked for right side to buy but that hints maybe your diagnostics aren't complete. There are two sensors and if you have a correct FSM then this will answer most of your questions.
There are no images in the FSM for location but for your '90 the left is under the battery and the right is under the blower housing. The link mentions what is required for access to those locations.
I had that problem on my 90. The right sensor is on the frame top and can be accessible by removing the R.F. tire and the inner fender panel. It is removed with a 10mm and 13 mm wrench so you cannot screw it up putting it back in. If I remember it correctly. Sand and clean the sensor bottom, put dialectric grease on it and reinstall the sensor. Do not forget to remove the ground cable from the battery before you start. To clear the codes I followed the method in the factory manual. It worked and I have not had any trouble for years. Good luck as the sensor is not easy to get at. Oh, I forgot to mention check under the carpet on the R upper end to make sure that the wiring connection is plugged in correctly.

I just removed my SIR system on my 91. The only items I haven't removed are the frame mounted sensors. I cannot guarantee that they are good but have no reason to believe they are not. Never have had any code for the system. If you would be interested I one or both, pm me with an offer.
Check the resistance values of the sensor to determine if it's within range. This can be done while the sensor is still in the car. Disconnect the sensor as it enters the car behind the rug on the passenger side. As others have suggested corrosion is a common problem as well as a loose or bad connection so looking at those issues is important before replacing any parts. Be sure to disconnect the battery.

90 sensors are specific to 90 models a 91 up sensor will not work on a 90 model.
