Walking around a car show here in Vegas and met a Lady who was there with her 84'. She was very proud and was telling me all about it. After I saw it I had to tell her that #1] The wheels were on wrong and #2] They are different width's if you have the optional sport suspension...10" in rear and 9" up front. 3]Directional Tires. She left to go to the tire store and get those fixed pronto.

Without seeing a picture, how are we to know if they were on wrong or not?
Many people "assume" they are on backwards, when in fact they are on correctly for that model year.
The early C4 wheels would look backwards to most people familiar with only seeing later model C4's.
Oh, and the '84 Corvette never had 10" or even 9" wheel widths from the factory.
7thone, what do you call "correct"? Were the blades at the top of the wheel swept forward, like a circular saw blade, or were they swept backward, like a shark dorsal fin?
I have a copy of the original '84 Factory Specifications. It shows the standard wheels as 16" x 8 1/2", front and rear, and the optional Z51 wheels as 16" x 8 1/2" front and 9 1/2" rear. The original "standard" wheels were to be 15", but no '84's were fitted with these 15" wheels.

Yes they did...Different front and rear...Mine are bigger in the rear..9.5 versus 8.5 front...Never say never!

I have 16" x 9 1/2" on my '84, f & r.
Optional SPORT suspension, optional cloth interior w/lumbar seats...Maybe you just have the PLAIN or cheapie Vette... Mine has 8.5 front and 9.5 rear...Blade tilts to the front ...Hence nickname "SAWBLADE"...far too many know it alls here!

Mine are 8.5 front and 9.5 rear.I measured them when they put on new tires.
I didn't say that different front and rear sizes were not possible.
I said they were not 10" wide or even 9" wide.
Go back and read what you wrote in your original post.
Yeah, good luck with your attitude.
Your very first post, and you start questioning people that "might" know a little about these cars.
Key word is "MIGHT"....Not my first post..Been on and off this site for 9 years...I usually get off when I read replies from OUTHOUSE lawyer's who pick apart everything the guy state's...Your right I did say 9&10..Should have stated that they are 8.5 - 9.5....1/2 inch is measurable on the outside on the car...Measure center depth with straight edge...Someone stated that only z51 had those they are wrong...Mine does and its not a z51...Don't know where or who did it but there they are.

Never said they were from the FACTORY..Don't know how they got on the car, but they are there. First time I changed tires was about 3 yrs ago and I found it then, and Ive had the car 6 yrs.

This thread is your first posts under this user name.
So, what names were you using before?

Well, you've proven you don't know how to measure wheels.
Some 'tudes on this thread are why i left long ago, only recently returned.
I suggest not replying to know-it-alls; let them live in their ignorant state. After all, they already know it all! when you argue with fools, you're lowered to their level, after all.
My stock sawblades were drilled off center which made balancing them an oft-repeated exercise. Gracias Chevrolet.

"THE LADY" may very well be having the "LAST LAUGH" and I certainly hope so! If they actually removed a wheel and confirmed the correct rotation for her she may be on the lookout for you to put a foot in your a$$.

FYI These wheels are marked on the inside with the size and the correct direction of rotation. Any good tire guy will see this info. End of argument!!
