Speed=$ so the more you have the faster you can go. So decide what you want out of your car. And the more you up grade to more you need to do in the rest of the drive line. remember your working on a SBC the most common and cheaper engine to build up

I was merely asking for suggestions......not expecting to be asked what I can afford.

Maybe just some ideas would be helpful?

Not building a race car if that helps.....just a bit more kick in the pants.

All I can think of right now is exhaust, and a good tune up (oil change, spark plugs, filters, plug wires, etc.).

What's HCI? I was only asking to set boundaries. The options can be endless or it can be a choice of one or two depending on a budget. Is this a auto or 6 speed? Daily driver or fun car

The exhaust system is pretty good on the 94. If you go this direction, you will just change the tone or note. There is very little back pressure.

Automatic or stick?

Heads, cam and roller rockers will really wake the car up. But before going this direction you need to find a source close by that can tune the car once the cam is in place. A stock LT4 intake would help, but the LT4 intake will not fit stock LT1 heads...just so you know.

Just note what others have tried to pass on. HP costs dollars.

I realize HP is expensive......I've always had Mustangs and modded them heavily.....decided to get a Corvette and enjoy a different type sports machine .

John......it's an Auto.

Install a higher stall converter in the automatic. Then look toward rear end gears. You probably have 2.59 gears. Moving to 3.07 or 3.45's will wake things up also.

One if the things to remember is that Mustangs are plentiful and therefore mass production of performance parts brings the cost down. Your LT1 reduces the parts available. A good set of heads for the LT1 will cost you $1900 or more.

Or if you are willing to use truck and Camaro parts you can bypass the Corvette tax and save money. The parts from what will vary year by year, but you get the idea.

The LT1 intake will support plenty of power and as stated the exhaust is not bad. I would go with a cam and headers and see how you lite it. It should wake the LT1 up pretty good. You can contacts LE for complete packages.
