Default 89 Clutch problem

I have an 89 L98 6sp. I let it set for a few months and just moved it. After I started it, I couldn't get it in any gear. I shut it off, put it in reverse and backed out. When I pulled it back in my garage, I kept my clutch pedal totally engaged and the car idled up a slight hill. I think that either my Master cylinder or actuator needs replaced. the master cylinder is full of fluid. Is there a test to determine which is bad or do I have to reploace them both? there are no leaks.
Thanks for your help.

Only way to tell which is bad is to pull them both, take them apart and see which one has the bad seal. May as well replace them both. If I were to guess, I'd guess it's your slave that is bad. Seems they go bad more often then the masters.

Best bet is to remove the OEM master and slave and send to Jim at Power Torque Systems. Jim does great work!

Not sure if the 89 and 90 are identical but in the 90, above the battery and below the ECM there is a reservoir mounted to the firewall for the slave. Remove the ECM to gain access. Check that and see if it's full. If not, fill it, pump the clutch pedal several times and see if the pedal stiffens up. You do have a limp clutch pedal, right? Might be a leaky slave. If so, see how long it takes to draw down again. There is plenty of info on slaves in the archives including defective replacements.

Certainly looks like a great resource. I may be using him myself in the future.
