Default Brakes

Yesterday I installed some new brake pads. The install went great and they went in with no prob. Drove around for a bit on them , but they seem to feel a little mushy. Is there a way to adust this or maybe get a better response from the brakes? Or is this just part of the breakin in process? No pun intended.

Sounds like they need to be bled -- probably have some old fluid / air bubbles / water in the lines. You should go ahead and flush the whole system. If you've never flushed the fluid, it's really pretty easy with a helper.

You may have sucked some air into the system when you pushed the pistons back in........I'd try bleeding real good first. I have however used some pads that I didn't like in the past that gave me that feeling ........they were on my ex"s Tahoe and they were from Advance Auto.......supposed to be the ones that don't leave much black dust on the wheels........I put NAPA pads on it and that fixed it.HHHHHhhhhhhmmmmmmm.........
