My 1984 corvette had a leaking fuel Injector I replaced the gaskets on It and now everythings fine but then I found a ripped spark plug wire went to replace It and turned the car on and Im getting a loud popping noise. It's gas and its super strong the car will stay on but continues to pop anyone know what could be wrong? I replaced the fuel filter yesterday as well.
I just replaced all the spark plugs so that couldn't be it, If I only replace one spark plug wire should I do all of them? Do you think to much power is going to that one and not the others?

If you just replaced the spark plugs, that's the first place to look. There's probably something wrong there. Maybe a loose or broken plug wire. Start the engine at night, when it's dark, and look for visible arcing in any of the wires. Did you check the gap of each spark plug before you installed it? Did you have trouble installing any of the plugs?
There is no such thing as "too much power" going to one spark plug!
I made sure the wires weren't crossed yesterday so thats out of the way, and the spark plugs are gapped correctly and none are broken. I really don't know what It could be then. I don't have alot of gas In the car you think maybe If I go get about a half a tanks worth maybe It'll start and the popping will go away?

Soo .. you've replaced an o-ring in a fuel injector, all the plugs, one plug wire. For troubleshooting, you've checked to make sure none of the wires were put back on the wrong plugs, and made sure the porcelain is intact on all the plugs and that none of them were installed incorrectly. You've also replaced the fuel filter.
Is the noise more of a pop like a cork, or an arc like an electrical short?
You said "it's gas and it's super strong" - do you mean there's gasoline all over the top of your engine and you can smell it? Has that gas evaporated by now, or is it still being added to?

No the gas is super strong from the mufflers and I just changed the oil and oil filter. Now It has a really rough idle and sounds like theres too much air Instead of fuel. And I double check the spark plugs and wires and there all fine. The popping from the mufflers goes away after about 30 seconds and black chunks of stuff is coming out of the mufflers when it pops.
