1992 corvette heater control problems

Default 1992 corvette heater control problems

I have a 1992 and the up and down buttons for the blower motor on the heater does not work it just stays at the same speed. and also when I turn on the ac the pump does not engage, any suggestions?

As for the compressor not coming on, are you sure you have the correct freon level?
The compressor will not come on if you are too low on freon.

That was an awesome video!!! Thank you! When I get my C4, i'll probably do this even if everything works. Nothing like preventative maintenance

I agree. I am going to do it to just to keep mine working. Too bad you just can't do it like a keyboard that does the same thing and stick it in the dishwasher. Lol

Do the LED lights follow the push of the buttons?

Does the display look normal with temp displayed numbers and at least one number displayed for the fan speed?

yes the led display does follow the buttons. all the numbers go up and down with the buttons but fan stays the same speed

Any update on this? mine is doing the same thing. I cleaned the buttons like the video and my numbers change and everything appears to be working besides the darned code 3 I got.

there is a fuse on the firewall by the blower motor behind the radiator fill tank its in a cover protector I think mine had a purple wire mine was blown I changed it and it worked fine.
