Default console question

Can someone tell what this is between the power seat switches? The clear plastic dome is hard and I have no idea on what the red dot does since it is under the dome. I have looked in the owners manual as well as the FSM. My car is a 1990 base convertible.

Please disregard the dirty console. Been doing mechanical work on it before I worried about the cosmetic. Car is new to me.

does the indicator light actually work? that small red light, which BTW, looks like an LED, was added by a previous owner. there is nothing factory about it, or nothing in the FSM. it may have been an indicator for some sort of security system or something, hard to say. if there is still wiring, you may be able to trace things out to determine what it actually does. the center plate is actually a blank cover for cars not equipped with the switch for the optioned FX3 suspension.

Joe thanks for the quick reply. If it's a light I have not noticed it on but have only driven the car one time at night. I'll take a look at the FSM to figure out how to take it out to check on wires. Only alarm I'm aware of is the stock alarm.

You won't find anything about that part in question, in any owners manual or FSM.
It isn't from the factory, and looks like some type of aftermarket security alarm light.

For the wife... Thanks for all the replies. Going to have to wait to find out what it is wired to. Too many other things to think about including taking it out to enjoy the nice weather with the top down before the Phoenix 115 degree temps hit.
