I bought a replacement wood grain steering wheel for a 1985 Corvette. The mechanic says I need a MOMO Grant Hub Assembly? Where do I buy it? Is this a true statement?

Don't know if you need it or not but about $30 on ebay
If it's not an original or "original replacement" wheel, it's likely a true statement. I think the Grant wheels are a universal wheel that will need an adapter to fit whatever kind of vehicle you put it in. I had a Momo wheel for my Fiero that needed an adapter, for instance.
I installed a Grant wheel recently. In fact that why I reapired the tilt on the column. On the Grant I installed it used three bolts in trangle shape, an adapter, and the nut on the column to hold the steering wheel on. I know there is at least one design that uses 6 screws with an adapter.
I guess a better would be question how many bolts/screws does the wheel, and what pattern?
