That's good that it worked for you, it could very well be a YMMV thing. The ECS fees are $80+ so what were the fees from Vintage?

As a separate but related topic to this issue, I have a question.

On the Tire Loading Information decal (the one below the VIV Certification decal), ther is a line just below the VIV Number that says; Model: YY07 YAJ.

I believe the YY07 indicates a coupe (this also appears on the build sheet for this car), but what does the YAJ indicate?
Anyone?
Thanks

I can't answer your question and my 87 sticker is a little different but I have a YAA 35/240

Which I believe to be the old Y speed rated tires with AA traction. 35 (psi) / 240 (kPa)

I believe the YAJ is a decal code that was used by the assembly line to confirm which to install. If you notice the emissions labels have three letter codes also but of course no VIN information. They wouldn't appear on build sheets either. The FSM hints that I'm correct but it's a somewhat generic description of the tire placard. 3E section of the FSM.

I too looked in the FSM last night. I agree that the figure showing the VIN and Tire Loading labels are very generic. Your reasoning on the use of the YAJ code makes sense, I am just surprised someone hasn't raised this question before. A Google search on Corvette and YAJ turns up nothing.
Thanks for your reply.
