Installing my Direct replacement DeWitts radiator and there weren't any directions w/it. None online either, that I can see.

What are the two strips of adhesive-backed foam for, the screws, and the two plastic straps w/holes??

Well without more info I don't know which instructions to post so I picked one

ok took out the instructions picture since the one I posted is the old one and isn't supposed to be used anymore according to dewitts.

Did find this though.

To clarify, the kit includes two foam strips and two spacer bars. The spacer bars are used to move the fans back 1/4" to allow room for the thicker core. We also include new bolts for that. Be-cool does the same thing, but they charge $75 for this spacer kit, and we include it for free.

Yep. great link. That cleared it right up! Foam top and bottom, plastic straps for shimming any gap between the fans and the shroud. Thanks!

That's exactly how my foam was on top and bottom. I also used the 2 spacer bars (metal) to allow for the thicker radiator. 95 vert.

Sorry, no pics of the re-assembly...it's done already. Pics of disassembly HERE. though, if interested.

One thing about the DeWitts that annoyed my a litttle; the new, longer screws are to accommodate the spacer for along the top of radiator. Unfortunately, they are course thread (like wood screws thread) and don't work w/the threaded speed nuts on the shroud. Assuming the the speed nuts were this style (not threaded):

...I merrily started tightening...and twisted /cracked my shroud. Grrrr. The speed nuts in the shroud are this style:

...and require a fine threaded, metric bolt. So, heads up there.

Also, If I were doing it again, I'd probably trim the foam, as it is much thicker than it needs to be, requiring the "smashing" of it, to make it fit in, under the shroud. Otherwise, the radiator itself does fit sweet, and looks fine (stock) all installed. Looking forward to another 23 years of good service from it!

That was wrong, no way to modify or to install a aftermarket part into any car without proper instructions.
