Default edit profile question

stupid question of the day. when posting a thread or reply...is there a way to automatically include your signature at the bottom, or does one have to toggle the check mark every time when posting?

I cannot find where to make a that change permanent.

Go to the User CP. You will find everything there listed on the left hand side.

You have to put a check in the box each time BEFORE you submit the post. Will not allow you to add it after the initial post...so can't add if you edit your post later.

CHECKED.....show your signature

Does that actually work? I thought I remember reading years ago that the signature feature was disabled permanently.

I realise one needs to toggle the check the box to allow your signature to appear.

My question is...is there an option available to make a change such that it will always be toggled on permanently whenever posting?

Not on this this site. On other vbulletin sites yep.

The template has to be edited to make the the option always "yes" and that has to be done by the site admin.

Most templates have it set to yes automatically. I imagine someone messed it up in the past and didn't know how to fix it

I host sites like this for a living and this particular site is a royal mess to be honest so not suprising.

I'm not seeing it. Maybe there's an option to turn off viewing signatures?

The Show signatures option is what shows or doesn't show other people signatures. Also remember that people have to choose each time they post if they want to include their signature so not all post will have one even if you turn on show signature in the control panel option.

Im setting this post to show my signature so if you have it turned on in the control panel you will see an underline after this sentence and then my sig line.
