Well Its been a year and a half since I sold it for a tacoma. The situation I was in called for a truck, so I bought a 2wd tacoma and traded up to a 4x4 5speed tacoma.
I still have my camaro but I am wanting to find an lt1 corvette. Funds aren't going to allow that right now, but I am hopeful I can get one in the future.
I decided to be "done" with the camaro so I can find anothe corvette. I miss that car. It was a BLAST to drive.
Camaros are a dime a dozen and in my opinion no were near as fun to drive. I won't go to car shows very often since that is usually all it is. All the local guys with their shiny Novas, Chevelles, Camaros, Mustags....
Throw your Camaro up on Craigslist and never look back and start looking forward to a 92+ C4
Before I bought my 89 I looked hard for 5 months to find an IROC Camaro but couldn't find anything in my price range that wasn't rusty, wrecked junk. My friend talked me into looking at Corvettes and I'm so glad I went that direction instead.
I still have a soft spot for 3rd gen Z28s, I still look at the classified everyday and someday may even buy one. But for now Target is my baby and is getting all my attention.
I actually drove an 89 convertible corvette on Saturday. It was fun to drive. my 11 year old son loved it!!!! you could always look for one to replace your old one....seems like there are plenty out there!!!
good luck!
I got this from my father and built it
repaint, 489 big block, th400 3500 stall, 3.73 posi, etc so it is staying(not many big bumper second gens around)
As for the truck, I needed a reliable truck that got decent gas milage and that fit the bill perfectly. I will hunt for an lt1 corvette when the time comes. The 1990 was my DD and mildy modified.
At least the Tacoma was made here.. Unlike some domestics
I will always hold the corvette as one of the best bang for the buck cars in the world. I haven't driven any other corvette other than a c4, but I LOVED that car. It may not have been the best built thing on the road but it was a BLAST to drive.
I love the cockpit feel of it along with the slotcar handling and great gas mileage.
I really miss it and I hope one day I can afford another one.
