Job is not very difficult. I had to replace the bushings in my 88 back in 2001. Remove the painted headlight bulb face cover. Pull the whole headlight assembly out as one piece from under the hood. Go to work table and pull the motor off. I am thinking there were instructions for this. Open up the motor and you will find dust where the old bushings use to be. Clean, insert new bushings, and reassemble. I had never done a job like this before but with Smartphones to take photos as you go and Forum members who can give you more detailed instructions than myself, you can do it. Headlights will snap to attention when you pull the switch.
from that video, the issue could also be a bad gear? Should I get a couple new ones just in case?
You can I did but did not need them. Mine was doing the same as yours. I got the nylon gears did not want the brass it is a weak point and would rather replace the gear and not the motor.
