Default Minor chip modification

Meant to say modification

1989 L98 with auto transmission
Stock except K&N filter and Bouch lll injectors, 49000 miles

Looking for someone experienced and who would be willing to burn new chip for me
All I am looking to change are:

Fan come on sooner
Delete vats
And I would like my RPM at idle set just a shade higher

Willing to pay

Mike

Had a custom chip made for my 87 a few years back from The CORVETTE CONSULTANT

Performance Enhancements for Corvettes and Camaros

Don't know if they are still in the business. Did wonders for my Vette. Passing gear was the biggest change that I noticed. Throws you back into the seat and jumps like a scarred rabbit.

Hardest part was lying on my head in the passenger seat trying to take the computer out to change the chip.

I can't help with the fans or the vats issue, but you can raise the idle manually by screwing out the stop on the throttle plate.

my understanding is that the ecu controls the idle speed and just screwing in the idle stop will mess up minimum idle speed and the IAC setting. Am I wrong?

I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I have had to do this the last few times to get mine through inspection. I just tweak it 1/2 turn or so, just enough to raise the idle by around 100 or so RPM. I do not drive it for long this way, but I never noticed any problems.

Correct. There is a procedure to set the minimum idle.
