... When I bought a new car I kept the one it was replacing cause you dont get squat for them. So I have a few cars, It's my hobby working and playing with them.........
It has been my hobby too. I have a some of them just because I won't give them away.
I have an LT1 Caprice that I did a lot of work to and has more in parts added than I could get for the whole car. I have an S10 with 180k that I bought new and it still looks new and runs fine. Any guesses what you would get for an old truck with that many miles?
Some of mine are still very good cars, but there is no market. Even our C4's are getting pretty cheap now.
If you like working on cars alot, then the C4 Corvette is definitely the car to own... ........WW
I don't quite understand this comment. Any car that's at least 19 years old is going to need repairs. C4 Corvettes are probably one of the easiest cars to keep on the road and running well. Repair costs on them are very low also compared to other cars in a Corvettes class. If the car needs constant care and repairs, that usually means the car was neglected or just not maintained as well as it could have been. Stating that the C4 Corvette will need lots of repairs just because it's a C4 is just wrong in so many ways.
Exactly,, ever try maintenance etc on a very old POS mercedes,,,,
" that 190 sl is a collectors item"...my old boss used to say as it deteriorates in the garage and gets started every 85 mo....
I knew that buying a vette would be like a boat....but I'm fortunate to have found one that belonged to a very "par tic u lar" person that was fastidious about upkeep.
