Default 1989 'Vert Project

My dad picked this baby up last night off a local facebook trader page. Pretty solid little car, automatic, 130k miles. Drove it a half hour home, seems to do pretty good, has a little miss at speed every now and again. Its dog turd slow so I'm guessing a tune-up is in order. Before I go on, here's a few pics.

Those are the for sale add pics, it looks better in them than it does in person. Has some clear coat coming off on the back and a little on the hood that will have to be fixed. The seat's are shot, but the rest of the interior is pretty solid. I'll post some more pics of my own in a day or so.

Couple of more realistic photos.

Got a price on getting this fixed like I said, probably gonna have it done as long as the car shakes out good on a few more road tests.

Interior is basically perfect except for one thin spot in the carpet and the seats are of course trashed.

Tops pretty decent, has a couple of small tears in the back glass, I think they would look better minus the tape. Gotta try and polish it up and get it a little more clear.

Really thinking about a set of these seat covers, looks like they fit pretty tight.

Been chasing down a blower motor fan issue right now, its unplugged and runs all the time when its plugged up. The control panel seems to be functioning like it should, but who knows really.

I imagine the car is a C68 optioned car and the final fix for the fan problem will be the replacement of the 'Blower Control Module' that is currently unplugged. Some related diagnostics? Nearly all will take you to the same conclusion.

I've never seen a 'by-pass' project for the BCM but if when connected and the blower running the AC was 'full function' perhaps a simple switch/relay could conceivably control and a person could (for a driver) avoid maybe the expense of the BCM.

Your exactly right! Upon further inspection that seems to be the issue. It is an automatic controlled ac car. Expensive guess though!!!

You mentioned 'blower' and I mentioned 'blower' in my response but I believe it's actually MAYBE the cooling fan defaulting to ON. I meant to mention cooling fan in that response but forgot and hit the 'submit' button.

Which is yours actually?
