just recieved my Kenwood KDC-CMP59FM 10Disc CD/MP3 Changer. It uses an FM Modulator as the rest of the FM units, but the modulator is separate from the changer and is approximately 4"WX7L"X1"high. The unit plays CD/CDRW/ and Mp3.
My question is this: Where should I mount the modulator? (I'm thinking under the passenger seat) and Where do most people mount the controller? The instructions say to double-stick to the dash or use the supplied adapter (requires cutting)
The controller is small about 2" high and 6" long - .50" deep - It doesn't seem to fit flush to any surface near or around the dash, console area.
You main unit for the Head unit is located under the tray behind the passenger seat. There is plenty of room to mount the modulator there. As for the controler, have it run into the center console so that when not in use, you can keep it in the console and keep the car lookin factory. Any questions feel free to IM me. I can send pics if need be.
The Antenna connection you are looking for is at the radio's brain behind the passenger seat.
