Default RIMS ... keep it simple.

Looked as offers on here and see tons from various vendors. Need rims! What is your recommendation for where I could get a good honest deal.

Default Help us out.

What year car do you have?
What do you want in rims?
What is your budget?
Do you want new or used?
Your question is like asking "How much is an engine rebuild on my daily driver?" You gave us no useful information to help you out.

Damn, sorry. '89 C4 but have new rubber for the C5 rims that were on it when I bought it. front 17x8.5 back 18x90.5 have the ugly assed chromed wagon wheels. Two are leaking thru the rim, not the edge but on the middle. Can't go crazy on $, inside needs work then paint. Starting at $600 up to $1200

A good bit depends on the tires that you've bought and already have. That will determine maybe your choices. Cray does some very nice wheels that "FIT" are consistent quality and I'd think are likely a good choice.

They do some 17 X 9 and also some 18 X 9 that could be done to match and "FIT" but are the tires you have now a good fit for the 9" wheel? Tire size of what you have is critical.

What size tires do you have?

I don't have Cray wheels, don't sell Cray wheels but you mention having NEW tires that you want to use so your choices are limited by tires. If you want to buy tires again then the choices are limited by only your wallet.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season

Front 245/45ZR17
Rear 275/40ZR18

Not sure of clearance specs, especially in the front, since I'm using C5 sizes on a C4. Stock was 17" all around just not sure of the width.

Go in the C5 parts for sale and look for a set of thinspoke wheels. They should not be too expensive and your tires will fit on them and they wheels will fit on the car with no spacers needed. Any wheels that fit on a C5 should fit on your car with no problems.

What would I need to do to make 18" thin spokes fit an 85 all the way around?

just make sure the rims you get have the proper offset or get a set of wheel spacers. Here is my '92 with c6 18" front rims and c6 19" rear rims (rear rims required a 1" spacer). First two pics are just after putting the rims on the car before moving it. They sit higher in the wheel wells, like seen in the close up pic.

On my '93 they bolted straight on with no clearance issues. I'm probably going to fit 1.5inch spacers to the rears to fill out the arches better though.
