I've used JB Weld plus I've used this: http://www.plastex.net/Product_Info.php
Here's one where the tabs were broken off completely and gone so they were made from plastex material. I didn't flatten them to keep as much material as possible, plus they aren't seen

Most of the time. I plastic weld back together. And build it up with more plastic. I do not like the wait time for traditional JB weld. Many repairs might be fixed in vertical /overhead positions. JB weld will run.
