I have a question on how you can figure the exact number of say colors painted on a convertible per year. I have a '95 with the bright aqua metallic and I looked up on the vettefacts.com site and it shows 909 '95 vettes were painted with this color. Am I safe to assume that since aprox. 1/4 of the 909 were convertibles then that would mean aprox. 227 '95 convertibles were painted this color?
Is there anyway to find out for sure how many of these had tan tops and tan interiors and how many had the 6 speed option with the FX3 suspension package etc. Just wondering as I have not seen another '95 with my colors and options. My guess is less than 70 were set up like mine but just not sure how to tell.

Car #1:
1989 Coupe Red on black RPO R7F 1 of 60 built for the Corvette Challenge Series. Of the 60 12 Red cars were produced, 6 converted 6 were not. This car was not converted.
First day we got the car home 2 years ago.
Car #2:
1991 ZR-1 Car was not built by GM and never went down the BG assembly line. Hand built in Grand Rapids, MI by a World Challenge Race team. Car is Pontiac Bright White and the motor is a Black Bakeracing LT5 done before the Rippie Cars.
Car #3:
1996 GS Coupe Red Guts with Z51 and R8C. Out of all of the options this is 1 of 2 cars produced and the first of the two.

For the 85 corvette there were only 16 made with the factory installed CB radio. That would be pretty neat to see one of those still working.

While not especially rare, I've never seen another one that had neither power seats or power door locks...
1071 did NOT have a power driver seat in 87
884 did NOT have power door locks in 87
it DID however have Cruise Control, the AM-FM Casette and Vanity Mirror options.

My 1994 black on black LT1 coupe has the six speed and little else. No power seats, came with base sound system, and painted targa top. No climate control either. Base suspension. Somebody along the way replaced the top with a transparent one. Probably not rare, but makes for a bare bones kinda driving experience, especially with the 3.45 rear gears and six speed.

The numbers being presented on rarity of older Corvettes are a guess, calculated by extrapolating from the number of cars made and the number of options made. There were no records kept, and GM certainly didn't follow any guidelines as to what percentage of coupes or convertibles got any combination of options. So, while it's unlikely to have happened, it's theoretically possible that all a/c cars were on coupes, or all white interiors were on red cars, etc. When you see a statement that a 67 Corvette is one of ??? with a certain combination, it's just a guess based on how the percentages would work if each option and each combination of options followed the total percentage calculation. So it's an educated, but incorrect guess.

Thanks Chris
I knew this car was in bad shape when I picked it up. Someone really had fun for the 63K miles that the car has seen. It drives and tracks great but lots of little things damaged or broken. I have had the car apart for almost the entire 2 years of ownership fixing things with no end in site. It is a fun and unique project. The car would have been destine for part out or the scrap yard. The best part is the guy I purchased the car from had owned it since 1995 and never knew it what the car was. To him it was an old red vette
I still need to find the right B2K car or the Callaway Lemon Soda racer

rare combo
I have two rare optioned/low production C4's.... my 91 white conv. has the blue int. blue conv. top. They only made 162 blue conv. tops that year. According to the CBB, white wasn't a one of the colors the blue top came on, only the Stl Blu Met, and the Turq. came with the blue top option. Back in the early days Corvette Museum Archive section would tell you info if you asked the right question...not anymore of course. They told me you could override the order sheet and get it on white cars. No Turq. cars where ordered with a blue top, and 66 Stl Blue cars had blue tops. So 96 Wht cars where ordered with blue tops. All blue top cars had the blue int. My car is 1 of 2 91 white/blue/blue, auto trans, manual seats, manual a/c, FE1 suspen., base cass. radio cars built.
My 96 yellow LT4 cpe is 1 of 3 that came with the grey int., 1 car had the FE1, 1 had the F45, and my car has the Z51....so 1 of 1
And as mentioned before, that doesn't mean they're worth anything, just unusual combinations and good conversation starters at the shows.

Burning Brakes
It was a link on Wright State University web site at http://www.wright.edu/~mathews.5/
Broken down were exterior/interior color combos, + LT1/LT4 Engines.
FE1, F45, Z51 Suspensions etc.
