don't know if it's different, but on mine (84) it's held on by two threaded bolts and a hinge you can get when the door panel is off, may have to take off the metal plate and have the window rolled all the way down, don't drop the bolts in the door make sure you get them or they're going to be a pain to get out. it is with my big hands stuff a rag in the bottom of the door to catch what you drop. and the rod clips break easy.
