It's a bit far out for me as of now, but I have thought of getting my 88 Z52 Vert a new color. I had thought of paint for a time, but the current bright yellow paint on the car is still in great shape, and I don't want to harm the resale of the car by removing it. As of now I'd thought of a wrap as an alternative, therefore I can retain the original paint but get the color I desire. I think I'd want to do a satin admiral blue to replicate the GS without the stripes etc. Would a wrap be more expensive than a "good" paint job? I'm not looking for a show quality finish, just something that will look decent up close but not concourse.
I was considering wrapping my car for a while. The problem I came into was seams. I couldn't find a wrap wide enough to fit over the entire hood of the car.

Never thought of that. But it makes sense, the C4's hood is one yuge hunk of fiberglass.
Please think twice about "Wrapping" your car? I've seen cars where the owners removed the "Wrap" and it completely destroyed the Clear coat of the factory paint. Then they had to repaint the car again anyways. If your paint is fading get a Professional detailer to Color Sand it and buff out the paint, or just repaint it the color you want?
