I have a 96 and am curious if they have an accessory position on the ignition switch? Mine will turn back to what normally is acc but I have no power to anything. Is this normal?

Hmm. I replaced ignition switch with a new one today and moved the switch by hand to what would be acc position but had nothing. I guess I will have to get into it deeper.

You replaced switch or key & cylinder? They're different .. You said "SWITCH"> well?
I had the switch off the column and moved it through all positions by hand and got nothing in acc position. The on run and start work fine.
Have you actually attempted to install and confirm operation once installed "on the column"? I'm guessing not and without looking at the wiring schematic is likely part of your issue. Maybe. Is the car an AT or an M6?
Maybe check Fuse #6 in the under-hood Fuse Block #1. That does DAB etc so maybe/likely controls entire Accessory function. WAG maybe but it would be my first look.

You don't have to talk down to me. I rebuilt and installed an ls2 in this car myself. I also built the engine computer harness myself so I am quite capable of replacing an ignition switch! Yes I had it mounted on the column and had the same results!

I was adding to my last post while you were gettin' on my a$$ so ...
Ain't got nothin to do with the LS2 now does it? Relax - I ain't talkin down to no one.
Check #7 also I don't have the FSM for your year close so just do both.
Sorry I got on you. Sometimes it is hard to interpret people through text. I have been looking at the dab. That relay seems to be working. The relay turns off when I open the door but all acc turn off when I turn the key to off. I know the should stay on until door is opened. I guess I will have to look into it farther because all fuses are good.

All's good! Do you have the FSM and the DAB wiring schematic? You want it? Need it?
There's a 1 page diagnostic for what you seem to be describing. Ask and I'll supply it.

**Factory radio? Might be important.
No it is an aftermarket Pioneer head unit. It replaces a Bose unit and that is where what threw me as it is powered from a different spot. In reading the fsm it states that the only thing that stays powered with the dab are the windows and radio. The windows do infact stay powered but because I pulled power for the radio from a different place the radio did not. So I guess I need to trace down the factory power for the stereo.

So you're all set and you have the FSM - Radio explains much!!
