What are your expectations of "fuel use"?
Do you have any wiring diagrams to start reconstructing?

LOL

Be ready to fight multiple large scale wars on many different fronts at all times. Be man enough for a strategic retreat when your wrong, and fight to the death when you know your right. No matter what, have the courage to stick your neck out if you have something to say.

I was thinking on dropping it off with a mechanic to sort it out.

My intentions were not meant to insult you in any way. My apologies if you took it as such.
my point is that id the o2 is used for BLM operation and is not accurate at 12.5 AFR then prove your claim to me of what controls BLM at WOT? Therefore, id the O2 is not controlling BLM then it defaults to 128 and the % added.

It was not a credible argument.

I agree the narrow band 02 is not accurate at 12.5. In fact they only basically read from about 14.0 to 15.0 A/F.

I cannot "prove" the claim about BLM at WOT. To the best of my knowledge it is based on inputs ( as I stated before) just not the 02 and built in ECM programming. It may well be a added % of some kind.

The 128 on the tool display to the best of my knowledge is a default when in open loop. In closed loop we know it can run much higher or lower so it is reasonable to assume under OPEN loop it does the same however not sure how to view this.

ECM's substitute default values all the time if a fault occurs or in open loop. Not uncommon to see them on scan tool or data logger of some kind at all.

Your talking about going into and messing with the basic programming and mapping. Not an area I am well versed in. I never had a reason to be so....

There is also a highway mode where it runs as lean as 16:1 for 60 seconds with 10 seconds in between. this was invoked in all cars though. I'll invoke as requested and if you've done mods I shut it off. Last time someone said WOT was BLM adjustable I didn't have a credible argument and until this was given to me the other day I hadn't put much thought into it. I do tune WOT by reading the o2 for .860 to about .920. Datalogs also give an AFR and I step through them and watch it and make adjusts from that. The mass air cars rock compared to SD. There's no coding that I'm aware of that adjusts during PE or Cliff would call me out? It is my understanding that newer cars that use wideband have this capability but I've never played with OBD2.

There is no way to measure AFR during WOT. The number 12.5:1 came out of nowhere credible in my opinion.

The AFR during WOT is determined by the fueling tables, AE and PE.
