Has anyone used them? I tried searching and only came up with one member on this forum who says they used them. I also looked up the address and google street view shows it as a residence. Not that business can't be done out of a house but I'm just curious if anyone has had good luck with them as the price is quite reasonable.
I just brought one. Shipping was slow, but product was A-1
What is "slow"? The ad states the turn around time to be less than a week. (I know that means how long until its ready to ship out.) So the shipping back to you took a long time? What did you use to ship the top out? A box or just wrap it in cardboard like the ad says?
Thanks for the reply!

I have met the owner and had him rebuild one of my tops. Took about a week and turned out better than new in my opinion. Prices are very reasonable, much less than the big manufacturers. He also offers a lens kit for even less, with just the glass and glue for those that want to do themselves or have it done locally. Either way a great deal. corvettetops.com

Sounds like I will be ordering his/her services then. I would put the new lens on myself but I'm not sure how to position it properly and I don't trust myself with a part like that.
This place is GREAT!! I was getting prices $800 up to $1500. Probably the best $300 I have spent so far. I opted to let them do the work on this one. Price cant be beat and I had 2 other roof manufactures tell me he was a scam! I think they are afraid of him for some reason? His pricing is insanely low but trust me its top notch work.

Do they clean up the frame at all or just pull the old lens and pop the new one on? (besides cleaning up the mating surfaces obviously) What was your turn around time? Thanks for the reply!
Yea I have seen those prices. From the big guys. NO WAY it costs that much to rebuild a top. They just like to get a bigger cut or they have too much overhead and have to cover it somehow. I got a less than steller response from Melrose asking about just the lens itself. I got flamed big time on this forum (Big surprise right) for questioning why I did not get a professional answer from a "professional" company.
Needless to say melrose will never get my business. Or any of those other $1,500 top rebuilders.
This business is about 45 miles from me and I am taking my top over to them next week for a relens. I spoke with the owner and he is very busy at the moment but I have patience and am in no hurry.

Being busy means business is either booming or working round the clock to get new customers. I bet its the first.
OP not sure if you saw his ebay rating but its 100% with 183 transactions, most of them for the C4 top it looks like. Let us know how it looks, Im consider getting a new glass/plastic top
Could anyone who's bought this top post a pic of what it looks like inside the car looking up? He posted one on his ebay listing but it was a cloudy day. Wondering if I should just tint my current top or buy a new one (which looks nice and dark/opaque)
I had my top done by him (when the business was called corvettefactory.com -which now redirects to corvettetops.com)
The service was great, but I am not completely satisfied with the fit. The front corners are less convex and more concave, which looks a little funny up close, and the back edge does not follow the contour of the halo very well. It sticks out on the corners, and has a slight wave along the top edge. I called about these issues, and he said it should work out by leaving the roof bolted down in the hot sun and to call him if there were any other problems. It didn't. Then I blew out my knee, had surgery, my wife gave birth to our second child, and by the time I got back to thinking about the roof it was much too late to take any action about it. It keeps the water out, but it is clearly distinguishable from a factory roof. Maybe I just got a bad lense.
That fit is too poor for it to be normal I bet. If all his tops were like that his eBay ratings wouldn't be so high and Im sure someone else on here would have posted about it.
Its unfortunate you couldn't get a new one in time.
If when I buy I will do it through eBay since they offer a money back guarantee.
I spoke with the owner before hand, and he assured me you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Clearly this is sub-par. It's my bad for delaying getting back to him with the issues so long. He had told me he would take care of it, but by the time I finally got back to him about my problems I never heard back from him. Also, this was right around the time that he was moving his shop to FL.
All that being said, just be aware it *could* come back like this. My roof spends most of its life in the hatch, so at this point I'm just living with it.
