Default time for another break.

traded in the vette yesterday on a new (2015)jeep ****** wrangler. My old jeep tj was getting tired and nickle diming me to death and anyone that knows c4s knows they can too and I was constantly laying out money to fix them. So I gave jeep to the son in law to fix up for my granddaughter sold my second truck and traded the vette and now just have a 2015 sliverado and a 2015 wrangler. I did this years ago when I sold my first 92 and eventually came back. I sure another vette is in the future but probably something newer and less high maitanance. I still love the looks of a c4 but between the fact I'm getting old and have a bad back and there hard to get in and out of and reliablility issues I doubt id get another.

Understandable. Sometimes enough is enough.

Yep. Like da man said, gotta do whatcha gotta do, sometimes.

I did that a couple times; bought toys, sold for cash in a crunch, and the replaced the toys (motorcycles, actually). The good news was I upgraded the toys to newer/faster models - sorta eased the pain some.

I sold my last bike, a beautiful black Honda Valkyrie, to pay alimony when I was out of work - talk about painful!! that was 12 years ago, and I never got over it; still want that bike back.

Luckily, I have Corvettes I purchased since then that eases most of that ache. Hope things get better for you! I feel your pain, bro! r\

I went through the same thing a few years ago. I had an' 85 z-51 that I owned for 12 years. I hardly ever drove it. The cost per mile was ridiculous. The logical side of me said sell it and I did. I sold it during winter and was fine with it being gone for awhile . When spring/summer rolled around I really started missing it. I started looking for another C4 and ended up buying a 94 from a forum member. I really like the 94 but I still miss that 85 with the Z-51.

Default Selling or not

Got this problem of fix it right or sell it.....My 86 vert looked good when I bought her. But getting into her was a real lesson in somebody not knowing WTF they were doing...Slowly getting together......4x3 trans. 76 on clock... I'm a keeper

Happens but hope you stick around, maybe pop in here and there. Been able to keep my C4s on the road so no complaints here but certainly understandable when someone moves on
