Brake light switch help
My 3rd brake light above lic. plate on 86 convertible not working so I was looking at the switch and noticed a heavier light blue wire was cut.

LT BLU from the SLS does the ABS and the CHMSL(3d brake) only.

So that would explain why the 3rd light above lic. plate is not working and why abs light is on on the center info center. Is that right?

Yes it certainly would BUT why was it cut? Have you removed the CHMSL and checked for maybe burnt socket and wiring?

I just got the car and I am restoring, I looked at the wires and they look like they are corroded and broke.

or maybe the guy before me cut for a reason, not sure but I will redo the connection. the 3rd light looks all good just no power back there. Bulbs look new.

Spliced blue wire back together and 3rd brake light is working again.
