Default Splash Guards

Hi
I'm Looking for a set of splash guards for my 1984 corvette. What type are there out there. I only basically seen one type. Is there more out there. The only reason I'm putting guards on is that I live on a gravel road. Also can you guys that have splash guards on could you send me pictures what they look like on
thanks

I don't remember where I bought these, but they do a good job of keeping the crap off of the car.

Sorry about the other picture, but that is part of what I like about them they are hard to see and do a good job of keeping the crap off of the car, I live on a road that is chip and seal and has a lot of loose stone on it all the time. Hope this helps you. Mike

I have these same ones on my 85. I thought I would hate them on the car but I really like them. I used black plastic door edge moulding material around the edges of the splash guards so they don't come in contact with the paint. It looks like it was meant to be there. My car being red with black trim, these black guards look very good.

If you don't do something to protect the paint, that type of splash guard will get dust between the guard (edges) and the paint, and the dirt will act like sandpaper between the guard and the fender. (I too used to live on a gravel road. Ask me how I know!!)

Someone (Ekler's?) makes a clear film that sticks onto the rocker areas. I found that those guards only work well on the area immediately behind the guards. But, the rocker area just a foot back from the guards are NOT protected by the guards, I found.

To really work well, the guards would have to be more like a "mud flap": flexible and hang down to w/in a couple inches of the ground, methinks. YMMV.

Installed these abs plastic flaps years ago (after getting fed up continually cleaning the rockers and quarters.)...they're held in place by the fender liner bolts. They do the trick.

Had these on mine when I bought it but one was damaged so bought another. I went a step further and used 'foam in a can' insulation and filled the are beyond where it contacted the body. They seemed a little flimsy to me originally but definitely solid once done.
