Bose Gold CD Security codes?
I poste dhtis in audio already but htought it might get a better esponse here....
I juts read this earlier today:
Two premium 200-watt Delco-Bose stereo systems were available, the top unit featuring a compact disc player. To discourage theft, the CD required electronic security code input after battery disconnect.
Maybe this is why my CD has never worked? Anyone have a clue about the codes needed? Ive searched far and wide unsuccessfully
My CD player stopped working although my cassette still works.
My battery was fine at the time, but now my battery has died.
Any idea where one can get a stock CD/Cassette/FM STereo repaired or replaced??

Its been a long time since I had a similiar problem. If I remember correctly my 90 had a dead battery & no portion of the radio would work at all. When I put the code in I trusted to memory, big mistake. I forgot it & 60 bucks to the dealer to
sort it out. They had to call GM or somebody to get a release code. Sounds like you are having a different type of problem. Fortunately my 95 does not have the
code input.
this happens to me also, but some days it works fine. The CD's that ive had the most trouble with are burned CD's, if i put a burned cd in 95% of the time it comes back out and says Error. I would double check and make sure your not trying to play burned CD's.
hope that helps
Andy :)
