Default Dash Lights Question

Just drove my 92 the other night in the dark for the first time this year. Seems like the dash lights should be much brighter than they are. Turned up the adjuster all the way and still kinda dim.... any suggestions??

Does your door handle area have an orange glow at night time? If it doesn't you might have lost the incandescent orange light driver which sits on top of the steering wheel behind the IP. Another possibility is the light switch lever is a rheostat that provides more or less voltage depending on position to the IP (Mean less or more orange light depending upon position). It maybe be shot.
