Well I have had to replace my battery twice in the last six months. Nothing has been done and no work at all was done. When you open the drivers side door the interior lights come on and the buzzer sounds. When you close the door the buzzer countinues to sound and lights are on until I start the car. I suspected that the door jamb switch had gone bad. I bought two new replacements and installed the drivers side yesterday. Closed the door and the interior lights stayed on and the buzzer was sounding off. Today I opened the door the buzzer and lights came on, I removed the door panel and unhooked the wires going to the switch. After about 15 seconds the lights and buzzer shut off. Tried the other new switch and lights and buzzer back on, remove the wiring and after about 15 second they turned off. I am stumped and need any and all help I can get.

What year is this car? You purchased jamb switches from where?
Tim, believe I have a similar problem with my 93 Ruby Red roadster, will send you a PM later today.
if you feel you have issues post them - others have mentioned issues with purchases of the mentioned jamb switches from different vendors.
Share your experience - it can help all likely!!
The OP needs to do proper diagnostics I'd think and maybe you as well. What's proper? It will change year to year, I'd think that '88 - '90 might require one set of diagnostics and '91 or later with DAB might require slightly different.
If I had a '91+ car with DAB I'd likely use the DAB diagnostics to confirm AJAR SWITCH function. If DAB functioned as thought it should then maybe move on to CCM and related diagnostics for what doesn't function.
Is that a correct check? Maybe not but if DAB works I'd think that would confirm there's no issues with the AJAR. I'd certainly do the DAB first.
To make sure the hatch pin is hitting the hatch release button. Most of us have to slide a rubber vacuum nipple on the striker pin. If the button is worn out the striker wont it the top of the switch anymore
I do not see anything that is elctrical or resembles a hatch ajar switch. I hooked up the door ajar switch closed th door and the buzzer and lights stayed on about 15 seconds then went off. I opened the hatch, open the drivers side door and closed it the lights and buzzer came on and went silent after about 15 seconds with the hatch open. So I am back to clueless.
THanks WVZR-1, I just got my nose out of the FSM and figured what Gold was refering to as the hatch release is on hardtop Vets. I own a 93 Convertible and there is no ajar switch on stowage lid. I have the stowage lid open now and the door buzzer and lights do not come on by opening it. With the door ajar switches hooked up when I open and close the door the buzzer and lights stay on for about 15 seconds. Is that NORMAL???? I only drive the car 3 or 4 times a year so I am not sure if that is or is not normal.

LOL - That's certainly interesting - I was just following GC's lead. I couldn't figure out the driver/passenger so I thought a "picture" would help!!
Does your car have a factory radio? When I mentioned DAB and ajar switches I thought/still do that maybe you check it.
I'd consider this a TEST - crank/start car/turn on radio and lower window - shut car off, with out opening door, does the radio continue and does the power window still work? Open door - did the radio shut off and the power window quit. I think that's as easy a base test as any for the ajar. 'vert or coupe.
Timing of lights/buzzer etc are all related to CCM - where was the ignition key when you did this check you mention?
I don't even need to put the key in the ignition just open the door and the buzzer and lights come on, close the door and about 15 seconds later they both shut off. I will follow your recommendation in a few minutes and post the results.
