Digital Dash

My 1984 C4 digital dash is not working properly I have a good deal with someone fairly local on a digital dash out of a 1986 I know that they are a little different but I was wondering if it would fit And work with no problem

Thanks I have debated that but this way it cheaper if it works that's why I wanted to see if it would, thank for the info though

A 1986 dash will fit and work in a 1984 and will look better., brighter and larger displays.

IIRC I read where the angle on the dash etc is different between the 84 and 86 so assuming it fits and works you'll need things like the dash bezel etc to finish it off.

No you do not, the 1986 dash is angled at the top back but the mounting tabs that fit into the slots on the car are longer and work fine. You bezel will fit just fine. I think you are confused as a 1984 and 1985 dash will not work in a 1986 to 1988 because the top back is not angled and the car has the top angled to change the viewing angle by tilting the top back rearward.

Thanks everyone I'll get the bezel just in case but I don't think I could pass on the deal 50 bucks for a fully functioning dash I know the display is bigger which I like I just wanted to know if it would work and if it would plug-in without a problem thanks again
