Why is it that my navy blue Jimmy which I wash only monthly, leave parked outside, wax only once a year and don't care for as I should has flawless paint when I do wash it, and the Vette which I try do drive only on sunny days, is always garaged, only hand wash, polish on a regular basis with spendy polish or wax has hard water sppots which I can not get out.
Makes me think that the spendy polishes only make problems worse!
It may be in your mind. I am soooo attuned to my Vette. Every single thing about it. But, don';t care about my other cars. Maybe you just THINK the Vette paint ain't so perfect, because you EXPECT so much more. Ask a 3rd party, ie-friend to compare the Vette to other car paint and tell you what they think. You are too close to be objective... hehe
No, There are definite hard water spots the size of quarters on the hood on the passengers side. Must of picked them up somewhere. Tried vinegar, clay and polish, nothing works. Both vehicles have a clear coat. The Jimmy which is dark blue is flawless.
OK, I see now. My 3000GT does have water spots, from sprinkler system at my apt. complex. (My spot is corner next to sprinklers). I have complained, to no avail. So, when I bought the Vette and had it painted, I complained again. They didn't give a crap, as long as I paid rent. Anyways, my kindly neighbors exchanged spots w/me, so my Vette don't get messed up like my 3000GT did. Water does hurt!
