Default Door Chime problem

The door chime in my 89 c4 dings when the door is open, regardless if the key is in or the lights are off.

When I shut the door it stops. It only does this for the drivers door.

Maybe the switch in the door jamb is bad? Any ideas that point to the fix is much appreciated.

Because it goes off when the door closes, its not the switch in the door jamb. If you just want it to be off all the time, go under the dash and find the big connector to the turn signal switch. De-pin either the lt green or the tan wire, and tape it off. No more key-chime.
Yep that will do it! C104 is the TS connector and pins E & F for KEY ALARM
