Just finished install of new carpet and mounted leather seats on my '92 coupe. Purchased from Mid-America. Absolute CRAP! Seats looked like they were upoulstered by a blind guy on the night shift. Carpet was worse.
"Made from the original factory molds" BULLS--T! Molded where it shouldn't have been. Not molded where it should have been. Tons of selvage (extra).
Had to custom cut every piece. Had to take the seats to local trimmer to mount them on the chairs. Foam was just too new and thick. I got tired of fighting with them. Had a tool he'd made to do these. He asked me if I had covered them myself? Said nope, bought them already mounted. Soooooo.. for $25 bucks apiece he took them apart and redid them.
First bad experience with Mid.
Didn't want the hassle of boxing everything up and sending it all back.
Pro trimmer I know said all car carpet comes from ACC. Everyone buys from them and re-boxes it. So if I sent it back I would only wind up with the same CRAP.
Pics?FYI, but thats why I buy all my interior already mounted on foam regardless if they need foam or not, just worth the extra but if you mounted them yourself, take them to a good local seat shop, they ( and I did not know that at the time) they can STEAM the seats and shrink and remove the bulges and cracks -depending on your issues.
