Picked it up this week. All original. Unmolested. 4th Vette....30th car. Love it and APPRECIATE this forum. Helped much on my research. I look forward to contributing to group. Let the sidepipe flames begin,!!! Oh...and this is my 3rd midlife crisis.

Congrats!

Side pipes, all original, unmolested. Hmmm.

Personally, I like the side pipes. Looks like the PO did a nice job filling the rear exit cuts too.

What is the RPO code for those pipes?

I like the side pipes too but I'm from that era. Had 'em on a '71 Roadrunner way back in the day. Enjoy your ride!

Congratulations. It looks nice. (I'm partial though since I have a '96 CE also.)

Are you sure it is a 3rd midlife crisis, or did you just never get out of childhood like me?

Appreciate the kind comments. I was shocked on how cool the pipes looked in person, and sound. Loud.

So I'm keeping them on for now. Especially since they were done correctly, with rear bumper filler and excellent mounting on the sides. Shocking, but they are not scratched under the exhaust outlets either.

Only downfall to a 96 is my HP Tuner is not compatible. And the only choice is Jet dynamic something something as they bought Tunercat rights

Nice Vert.

I too like side pipes on Corvettes like C2's, C3's and the C4's. Just so you know, they are an aftermarket item on the C4 models and did not come from the factory.

So that does take away from the stock unmolested aspect of the car.

This is my first car at 16.. 1971 roadrunner. Originally sassy grass green, with a 383, headers and I painted Corvette yellow.
