Default Another Parking Brake Thread...

Ok this might sound stupid...

I know how to use the Parking brake that's not the issue...

The Issue is I went to apply said brake and my thumb began hurting. Upon Closer inspection, it appears the plastic ****/insert is missing and only the metal tab is sticking out...It kind of hurts to apply the brake and to Un-apply...

I'm looking all over the place and I cannot see if in restoration areas if it's even a replaceable part? Am I SOL? Do I have to grow more callous on my thumb?

Yeah, I even pulled the bolts from the front seat out and looked under there... Found a name tag for someone named "Will: who apparently worked for Duncan Donuts though....

I found the entire assembly on ebay... lowest price is 150 bucks.... The 84-87 ones are 50 bucks.... the 88-96 ones are 150-200 bucks... Not many junkyards in New England let you just walk around.... But hmmmmmm.... I may know a kid in my Son's Boy Scout troop that has access to a relative's Junkyard... Hmmmmm A mission for him.... Hmmmmmmmm......

I am sure you can find one here with the members trying to sell parts off their cars.
