I woke up one day and realized riceboxes are for chumps, sold mine, drove every 1984-1991 C4 in existance over 1.5 years, and virtually stole my LT1 in a frighteningly impulsive move propelled by my gf's insanity.
In retrospect, it was the only rational thing I've ever done.
It really has been a life long dream to own a C4. It is all I ever want to drive. I want a second one in a few years to replace my everyday car. :yesnod:

Dad found a '69 Camaro Z28 that was COMPLETELY rebuilt with original parts and was silver with black racing stripes. This literally was a show car and he bought it for a 16 yr old (me). Gave me $6000 and got me a loan to pay off the rest ($10k). Luckily he bought it for the right 16 yr old and I was just too afraid of wrecking such a beautiful machine and refused to drive it unless absolutely necessary. Ended up selling it to the neighbor (it will be mine again, oh yes, it will be mine again...) and I bought the current vette I have now off my dad a year later and he got a 98 C5. Of course, he beats the hell out of his cars and I'm just now finishing up fixing what he wore down on the car. Once I'm done with it though, it will be the car I've always wanted. Honestly, other than the Camaro I sold, I don't want another car; not even the fancy lamborghinis, C5s, or anything. Nothing catches my eye or my heart like the C4.
I bought it to pick up chicks! :jester j/k I got a really good deal on a good looking car and really close with the previous owner so I have all maint documents and the like. I even still have his old insurance cards and AAA cards also all of the financial paperwork when he bought it. So I have the documents for all of its 73,452 miles.
First Vette I bought was a brand new 79 L-48. Then I sold that one and got 84 Spectra red Z-51, 4+3. Followed by 91 300ZX TT which I coul'nt stand and tradede it in for a new 91 ZR-1, red/blk.
When 93 came out w/ 405 hp motor and 94 showed up w/ better carpeting, I wanted a 94 with both of these upgrade. Finally in 2000, I found a blk/blk 94 which I own now.
Eventually I want SGC 368 conversion, custom paint(blk) and custom sound. :D :D :D
I owned an 86 Vette when I was 26 yrs old, but it had one problem after another and because I didn't have the $$ to keep up w/repairs, I had to trade it in. (Got 9k from the dealer, traded for a 95 Camero, hated the Camero). Anyways, many cars later and a decade older, I decided it was time to get the 86 back. I found an 86 Vette for sale on-base (Travis AFB) for 6k. I bought it and the rest is history. I have put probably 10-12k into it already, but this time, I CAN afford it. hehe -- I who laugh last, laugh hardest.!
