C4 W/L98 auto to manual swap
Is it worth the swap worth the time and/or money? Is there a kit available to do it? I see 90 to 96 C4's for 10k with under 100k miles on them. If you get $4500 to $6k for the auto you own now it's only $4k to buy a manual corvette.

only you you can decide if it's worth it. No kits as you'd be hard pressed to even find an nos zf6 these days. Not sure why most of the corvette crowd seems to want a direct bolt in kit solution for nearly everything.

Not asking for a new zf6, or a direct bolt on. Just wondering if there was a BYOT with a bag of brand new hardware and accessories I could buy so I'm not making 35 trips to the parts store or junk yard. What I don't understand is why people who look on line to read friendly and try to belittle all users. Uneducated greaser I take it?

I would say it is if, say the car was passed onto you from someone you love. That's why I have mine for sale at the moment. No one seems to want it, nor is the price out of line. But honestly, would be best to a zf6 car.

What are you trying to get for your car? I don't think mine is worth selling really. It looks good to someone who don't know corvettes. But overall, I can get a better one and it would be worth keeping this one as a parts car. It's a 90 auto with 275k on the original engine. I bought it for $3500 2 years ago. I have all maintenance records from the day it was bought in 1990. I am the 3rd owner, 2nd owner had it 6 months and put 400 miles on it.

Depends on the year of C4 you have. Early cars will require cutting of the shifter pocket and grafting in a section from a manual transmission C4. If you're good with working with SMC and are able to find the epoxy locally then you stand a chance at doing it yourself. If not, sell the car and buy one with a manual transmission.
