Yeah that's about what I scooped mine for. Took me forever to find it and it has some fiberglass damage that I'm trying to get sorted but I paid for the drive train, right or wrong lol

FYI lol:

Mine had 1 power seat. I put the second one in the blank on the other side. It is the middle that I am wondering about.

Awesome aklim...I'll get back with you later tonight on this...I'm intrigued to say the least. Thanks for the pic, that'll make figuring out what's up a little easier.

Look in the middle glove box. When you lift the lid, on the underside should be a bunch of 3 letter codes aka RPO codes. If there is an FX3, the selector in the middle should be there. If not, someone pulled it out, removed the bulb and probably tossed the actuators since those shocks are expensive and they are usually shocked by the sticker price and do it the "easy" way.

That you have no "right" power seat is fine, as I said. Not all Vettes came with it. Mine didn't. I bought the right seat tracks and included it by hacking up another unit to do it so that I have dual power seats.

Wow, my first day as a member of this forum and you guys are knocking it out of the park! aklim, to be honest, it did not even occur to me that the car could have come with the FX3 shocks/performance pkg. I will check the code as you've suggested later tonight...torn feelings here, if it is FX3, that's great!!! But if it truly is...$$$$ to restore back to original.

The idea is to make the ride better depending if you are touring or performance or sport. The PO of my car, aka THE MORON, just yanked the stuff. Fortunately he left the harness there and the computer so I got me some spares from ebay and hooked it up with the shocks. That way they can replace it with some cheap crap and not have the light show up to warn the next buyer. I also know someone who had an ABS issue and put black tape on it and traded it in for the next sucker.

So, I see you've gone down this road, that explains the intimate knowledge of the subject. Wow, not cool! I'll take pics of the center console and shocks later tonight...thanks for the help bud!

Greetings from a fellow 1990 owner! I saw the discussion about the power seat controls. Mine looks the same as yours - I use it as a change cup.

Thanks again everyone. Here's a pic of the center console:

Looks like it's all as it should. Also, I discovered at 7:00 this morning that the door alarm does in fact work...so did all of my neighbors!

The gentleman I bought it from included a FSM with the deal...he said it cost him $100 so I'm glad he threw it in. Also, just driving it home I had several waves and thumbs up, this should be a fun summer.

OK. That is different so you probably don't have FX3. The part I bought has a flat panel

I checked the center console and no, not a FX3. It does need new shocks though.

Just looks different and I couldn't see it from yesterday's picture. You could get the unit I showed you on eBay and get a seat rack to make the passenger side have power seat. I did. And get a cover to make that tray disappear if you wanted or leave it as is and put coins, condoms, drugs, etc there for easy reach.. I wouldn't put FX3 on it if it didn't have it.

Check out Shox.com or eShocks for the better Bilstein prices which are lifetime warranty or something different if you want a racing shock or something cheap if you are selling it soon.

Thanks aklim, I do believe once I get it running properly i'll upgrade the passenger seat, and yes a cover for that open tray would be best...I'll look into that too.

But first it runs like crap, I do believe the PO didn't bother to ever tune it up...no error codes (surprisingly). This weekends fun will include O2, MAP, and new wires and plugs. I'll start another thread later today for that journey. thanks for the help on the seats bud.
