'corvette series two'
Hi to all,
I'm new on the forum. I'm from Belgium (Europe)
bought a Corvette C4 about a year ago (origin New York State)
but i have a question about the vette:
front side 'badge' says 'corvette series two'? (left and right)
Someone knows what it stands for?

I think you need a close up of this.
My guess is it looks like someone tried to cover up the original stuff and put that on it.
Another fact is many people are judgmental of the crossfire and so it can cause people to feel shame.

Greets! I too have never seen that on a C4. I agree with the theory that a previous owner was trying to show people that he did not own the less desireable Cross Fire 1984.
A few years ago I helped a friend in Brugge purchase a 1981 Corvette from Florida in the USA. His name is Steven and he attends a lot of car shows that feature American cars. Tell him I said hello!
This is a picture of his car in case you run into him:
I believe he is thinking of selling in case you know of someone that is interested. This is a very strong running TH350 car with absolutely no rust.

OP - Have you asked the PO (previous owner) for maybe an explanation or did you do the purchase through a broker. It might be interesting to post the VIN and see what might surface regarding vehicle ownership here in the US before your purchase.

@corvetteronw: ok, will see if i see that person
possibly I did see that care before
@ghoastrider1: thx
@wvzr1: i did search the vin, found that the car was sold a few months befor i bought it (and the prices)
I bought it trough a broker, he was in the US and sold it and took it to europ to sell there ...
i will post the vin later today

Could have been part of a dealer added package its certainly not factory as others have already stated. Is the inside of the car graced with a wood interior kit or a flared out body kit or wing? I ask as no other photos where in the OP. GC

Built for export? They have been known to do weird things for export. The 94-96 impala SS was called the Caprice SS for export...the only change was the emblem (unless market called for other changes i.e. Amber turn signals).

And don't worry about the crossfire injection. They may be less desirable to some, but the L83 is a fantastic engine, its reliable, has a fair amount of torque and sounds excellent! 84 is my favorite year of the C4 and I have owned several. I love the 84's very much and they paved the way for all other C4's. Amazing handling out of the 84's as well, especially if you have the Z51 suspension!

Hi, this is a very old thread so it might not be useful to reply BUT.....
I also have the words " corvette series two" on the black band just behind the front wheel.
very faded but its there.
I have only had the car for a few months but the registry thread is pretty much all in Alberta, Canada.

corvette series two pictures
Here are some pictures.
The car is a bit under maintained but just what I wanted.
A previous owner seemed to have de-badged the car so the actual letters are gone but the glue marks show what was there well enough to read.
It is this lettering that eventually brought me to this thread.
