93 Heating/AC issue in Denver area.
My 93 has a defective AC system.
The symptoms:
Fan and temp setting controls work great.
Heater:
Works great at 90 deg setting. When I change to 85 deg (or lower) it starts putting out essentially outside temp air.
AC:
Does not work either in AUTO setting or taking the temp setting on the control panel down to 65 deg, fan speed settings work fine; the compressor clutch does not engage at any temp setting. I have not tried Defrost setting, I hear that the compressor is supposed to engage to dehumidify the air.
So, is this likely a head unit (control panel) problem where the temp sensor is not working?
Is there a C4 mechanic in the Denver metro area (preferably on the west side of town) that anyone would like to recommend.
