Default Not sure how these forums work...

So I started a thread a couple days ago asking if it was ok for me to promote my youtube channel on here. That thread generated some positive remarks and even made me some new friends but it went in a direction that was off topic...all my fault too!! i posted some photos of one of my earlier C4's that i did a complete re-paint on and some people showed interest in that. Is that something people would be interested in seeing? should i post a new thread specific to that project or is this just a one-n-done topic? I'm fairly new here and just recently active in the forums so excuse my ignorance

thread with the photos

It's Funny... I've been using forums since the late 90's back when Us computer geeks would go to LANParties With our computers...

Before I had money to soup up a car I was souping up computers here's a pic of me after meeting a bunch of guys on a now dead forum and making my computer an unofficial portable advertisement for Mountain Dew:

In order to compete a small group of us banded together and formed a Clan called: Beer Drinkers United.. (BDU) was our Tag... I started a website that I still own but now it's more of a news format for Beer... But there is still a forum that nobody really uses... I keep it up for nostalgia...

SO forums are old hat to me... After Lan Parties, I got into Motorcycles and I became a regular on the VFRforums... Then I started to get older.... And fatter... and I looked silly in my romper suit and helmet...

I rode this:

So after realising I got Fat, I'm older and not necesarily wiser, I Thus decided that I would put the bike on craigslist and joined this very forum and lurked... lurked for a while... searching every topic.... Learning and absorbing.... Even trivial posts.... Then the bike sold and I snagged my Arctic White 95 beauty...

But I digress..... LOL .... Usually, a good rule of thumb is If it's off topic create a new thread/topic...
