So i changed the upper radiator hose, had some prestine 50/50...added about a gallon and a half now she is running temp up to 243 highest before was 236, should i drain some 50/50..and put in some concentrate. .only changed the hose .

you probably need to take out and clean your radiator. Not change fluid percentages

Inspect the front of the radiator to see if there is road trash between it and the AC condenser. Vacuum it out or hose it out. Your temps will improve dramatically if that is your problem.

I typically ran 225 and one day I hit 240-- IT FREAKED ME OUT!

I popped of the shroud and found a hot, hot mess. The radiator was over half covered I cleaned it out and reused my fluid.

Now, my car runs 210-215 max and typically cruise right about 200 on a upper 90s Texas day.

It is about airflow.

Possible air lock. Burp the system. Point the car downhill to get the radiator lower and start car without cap. Watch for air bubbles.

Well took a gallonof the 50/50 out added straight prestone concentrate, and a new pressure cap stopped at 217. After a 30 minute ride with the a.c. in..so I'm thinking it was the cap...gonna try tomorrow on a longer ride supposed to be 110

booyah. usually you can tell when a rad cap has blown if you get right down there and smell for odour coming out of the cap.

exactly... actually most guys dont realize that water is the best coolant.... we need to use anti freeze for its anti corrosion and lubricating properties....
