It isn't worth it. Anything can be done but people are usually installing aftermarket from Bose not the other way around. It requires the head unit and the speakers that are specifically Bose and probably requires rewiring.
if you have a non-bose stereo and your car isnt of collector status...i would actually consider upgrading to modern equipment. if you have a cassette deck with bose speakers, you have a bit of a mess (they did offer that configuration...only god knows why). but i do understand that the head units are interchangeable...in other words I've been told that yes you can install a factory C4 Bose Gold Cd head unit into a non-bose system but it wont "enhance" the sound to that of a Bose Gold system it will just allow you to play cd's
Currently I have the BOSE with CASSETTE... can I simply install the BOSE with CD & CASSETTE into my vette and it work without any issues? Like having to go to the dealer for a reset or something?
I like the stock look I just want to be able to play cd's...it's 2017 don't you know.

according to older threads, yes you can. You can even put a Bose head unit in a non-bose configuration. You will gain CD capability
