lots of reasons for this code..a common problem is the wires on the rear left...i too had this light on my 92 so last weekend i went back and wiggled the harness and cleaned the tiny little metal flakes clung to the wheel sensors unit at the wheels (must be magnetized) and the light hasnt come on since.

The hand brake cause mine to come on - just moved it some and cured the problem.

I removed and cleaned the drivers side rear sensor but that didn't help is there another sensor on the passenger side?

I cleaned both rear sensors but didnt fix the problem it only comes on when you turn on the ignition and after it is warmed up also topped off brake fluid.any suggestions it shows a c17 code and a h65.

That's very strange there is no C17 code. Check the EBTCM (Electronic Brake Traction Control Module) in compartment behind driver seat. Make sure connections look good, no real idea what you might be looking for though. Still if something funky is up with module then it will set the "Service ASR" light. Also try clearing the code, maybe it's old that is causing the light to come on

ABS/ASR EBTCM

Press the TRIP RESET button until 9.0 is displayed in the module number area. Press the TRIP/ODO button until “9.7” is displayed in the module number area. Press and hold the ENG/MET button until “—“ is displayed. This will clear any ABS/ASR codes. after “—“ is displayed, turn the key off, wait ten seconds, turn the key back on and check for any ABS/ASR codes.

Cleaned the rear sensors, topped off break fluid, checked connections behind drivers seat anymore ideas? It only comes on after the vehicle is warmed up and you turn the ignition back on after driving it a while.I also get an h65 code.

History 64 (H64) code means Right Oxygen Sensor (Right Bank Lean)...nothing to do with the ASR light and that code was set in the past so might not be a continual problem.

If I remember later tonight, I'll try to take a pict of the flowchart for troubleshooting a Service ASR light with no DTC code...although I seem to recall the end results was to replace the EBTCM.

Attached PDF of 3 pages from the FSM around Service ASR but no DTC...can't say there is a lot of info. What is really odd is I can't find a code 17 in the FSM at all and that is very strange as the FSM is suppose to have all that info!

Also you might want to grab a OBDII reader, I use this one and it works great. Just makes pulling and clearing codes a lot easier, can be used with a number of free apps for your smart phone.

Well still trying to figure this out It consistently only comes on only when the engine is warmed up and you turn the key off and back on,Sat I washed my engine compartment and now it is on all the time so I am leaning towards the problem being under the hood somewhere.
