Ok, I have also heard this thrown around. C5 doesnt wave at C4. I havent really noticed that at all. Are you waiting for them to wave first? I live in Texas where waving is a way of life so...
I also have a Honda Shadow Ace 1100 and EVERY motorcycle I pass I get a wave. EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No matter if its a $100,000 custom bike or a dirt bike combo. Buy a bike and get the wave!
I get the same thing when I'm riding, but it really is a different world and way of life. I do think the Corvette wave should be kept alive so I instictively ( because of riding ) just wave......sometimes I get the wave back....sometimes I don't. Ironically (or not) it is usually the C4's and C3's that do most of the waving.
I can remember a time in 84 when the c4 came out and I never got a wave from them in my c3. I thought the c4 crowd were a bunch of snobs, wait till the c6 comes out....the c5'ers will see how it feels. :yesnod: :yesnod:
If it has 2 wheels and an engine, I'll wave if I'm on my motorcycle (Yellow '02 Katana 600). Most of the time I get a wave back, even from the Harley guys and the Goldwing guys. I get a lot of waves from people in cars in my town when I'm on my bike too.
I knew Harley guys nodded their heads at each other. I don't know if they nod to Hondas though.
most do. some are harley snobs & don't , or some even flip you off. i ride a honda valkyrie, & when i park next to a bunch of hogs the valk usually attracts all the attention. no flames from hoggers please, my previous ride was an 80 inch shovel head with a kick starter. i rode harleys before they were a fashion statement.
Funny, I have a Schwinn and never get a wave   (Just Kidding)
Lat weekend i pulled up to a stop light and 3-4 harley's were sitting there revving their engines at each other. so I gave them a good rev with the LT1 with no mufflers. They looked over at me and I waved and gave them a thumbs up. They gave me a wave and a respectful nod. Then the light turn green and I punched it. It was pretty cool. Probably won't get that from some C5ers (For all you C5 guys that do pay attention, I did say some).
BrianandDenise I think you hit the nail on the head. I have talked to more C5 drivers that were clueless to the Corvette way of life before buying one.
On my Harley (ridgid shovel), I got a wave from everyother Hawg but rarely from a nipper bike. They were in to a big a hurry to go no-where to wave.
I always got a wave in the Corvette. But never from a C-5.

I agree with you. I think living in Texas helps, but I wave and get waved at by EVERY motorcycle I pass. I even wave at Corvettes when on my Harley! (Except C5s of course :jester )
