Default LT-4 Opti

Hi all, I have a 96 with the LT-4 engine. I have recently completed installing a new opti, I do have one problem though. Right behind where the #1 plug wire connects to the opti there is a small diameter pipe stub, I have placed the 1/4 hose to this pipe stub, but cant figure out where the other end of the hose is supposed to go. Any suggestions or guidance will be much welcomed and appreciated.

thanks to all & God bless,

Gary L.

Actually, it appears to plug in to the top of the rubber boot between the mass airflow sensor and the throttle body.

Now, I have a question for you: what type/size of fasteners are used to fasten the bottom of the kick panel directly under the steering column?

There are three on the bottom and two on the top. All three bottom ones on mine are missing and I want to use the correct replacements.
Thanks.

Dunno bout the "correct" stuff, but any full size GM car of the era in a wrecking yard ...excuse me... "salvage" yard should yield you a pocket full...

with that said, the oem fasteners were typical GM cheapo's; thin stamped sheet metal and sheet metal screws...yeah they went together fast on the assembly line, but gradually, as I go through my interior I replace the oem stuff with similar but much better quality stuff designed to use machine screws...available at any well stocked hardware store.
